Happy Friday all!
We have had a hectic, but fun week of school as we wind down our year. Our fourth grade had NECAPS this week in the mornings. I was impressed with the focus they had during these long hours of filling in bubbles. During this time, the third graders worked on math and spent a day editing imovie newscasts that our class has been making to wrap up our Vermont unit.
This week:
Have a great weekend!
This week:
- in reading we have continued working on using as many of the skills that we have learned this year in reading. We are currently working on combing two texts to gather more information about a topic
- in writing, we did our end of the year informational write. Ms. Appleby will be comparing them to the ones we did at the very beginning of the school year. We were allowed to write about anything that we have a lot of knowledge about. As you can imagine, there was a wide range of topics. We have also continued building skills that will lead up to writing a literary essay about one our favorite picture books.
- we did not have math this week because of NECAPs!
- In theme, we FINISHED our movies—and had tons of fun doing it! Today we played a final game of Vermont jeopardy, and on Monday we start a new unit!
- We have a field trip on FRIDAY to Spruce Mountain! We are ready to “hit the trails and have fun”
- We are done standardized testing!! WOOHOOO! Next week will be our final relatively “normal” week.
Have a great weekend!
